Hunt Auctions is holding its fifth annual Hunt Auctions Appraisal Fair at Major League Baseball All-Star FanFest, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 14. The Appraisal Fair will be taking place on Friday, July 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST and Saturday, July 11 through Monday, July 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST at the Americas Center in St. Louis, Mo., as part of Major League Baseball All-Star Week activities.

Anyone can call ahead to schedule a private consultation at 610-524-0822 or online at www.huntauctions.com.

“Now is the time for the public to see if they have any old sports items lying around the house and learn how much they are worth,” David Hunt, president of Hunt Auctions, said. “They may be holding onto something that is worth hundreds or thousands of dollars, and they didn’t even know it!”

At the Appraisal Fair, the public can bring their collections of sports memorabilia for a free appraisal by Hunt Auctions and its team of nationally recognized experts. Last summer during the All-Star FanFest in New York City, a Cal Ripken, Jr. Baltimore Orioles road jersey was appraised for $15,000 and later was auctioned for $16,675.

Also taking place during this time is a preview exhibition of the MLB Live Auction at MLB All-Star FanFest on July 14th, where over 775 items will be made available for auction for the collecting public including a Lou Gehrig game used hat with an estimated value of $75,000-$125,000. Select items from the appraisal fair may be consigned to the live auction.

Major League Baseball All-Star FanFest, an interactive baseball theme park and the largest baseball fan event in the world, takes place as part of the 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star summer events hosted in St. Louis. The five-day event boasts interactive activities and historical exhibits such as life-size video batting and pitching cages, free autographs from Hall of Fame players and Major League Baseball legends, youth skills clinics taught by current and former MLB players and much more.

Tickets for MLB All-Star FanFest can be purchased via the official All-Star Web site of Major League Baseball _www.allstargame.com, or by phone at 1-888-FANFEST (326-3378).
