Online Auctions Added to MachineryTrader.com
Published April 12th, 2009
Online Auction Listings are now ‘live’ on MachineryTrader.com. Consistent Machinery Trader advertisers now have the option to auction their equipment to a worldwide buying audience, 24/7/365. All machines are auctioned directly by dealers to registered bidders on the Web site. Seller’s fees are minimal, and there are no auction fees charged to buyers. As a result, equipment can sell for less than at other conventional or online auctions. “We’ve helped move over $1 million worth of equipment in just the first few weeks since the feature’s introduction,” says Nate DeWald, project manager of the Online Auction feature.
MachineryTrader.com also features tens of thousands of conventional for-sale listings for heavy construction machinery from hundreds of dealers throughout North America. “The combination of print and Web exposure for our advertisers’ inventories has been incredibly effective in helping them move inventory, but the marketplace is clearly demanding full auction listing functionality, too,” says DeWald.
In addition to the global sales opportunities offered through MachineryTrader.com, the Machinery Trader publication offers three different regional print editions throughout the U.S. and Canada. Machinery Trader and MachineryTrader.com have become the agricultural industry’s most trusted source for the advertising of heavy construction equipment, attachments, components, and parts. Both are products of Sandhills Publishing Company, in business since 1978 and a leader in bringing together buyers and sellers of farm equipment, heavy construction machinery, over the road trucks and trailers, and aircraft.
