Ferry for Auction on eBay

The Steamship Authority ferry Islander, which steamed between Woods Hole and Martha’s Vineyard for 57 year is for sale on eBay.
The double-ended ferry, which the Governor’s Island Preservation and Education Corp. bought for $500,000 in July 2007, has been placed for sale on eBay after deterioration was found to be worse than first thought.
