Auction Raises $15k for Tasmanian Devil

An auction in the United States has raised more funds to help fund research into the Tasmanian devil facial tumour disease.
About $15,000 was raised through a charity dinner and silent auction in New York as part of Tourism Tasmania’s G’day USA 2009 activities.
Tasmanian Tourism Minister Michelle O’Byrne, who is in New York, says more than 300 philanthropists attended the Australian Wildlife Conservancy benefit dinner.
