India 3G Spectrum Auction Postponed Again

India has again postponed the auction of spectrum for 3G (third generation) services. The country’s Department of Telecommunications said Monday on its Web site that the new dates for the auction will be announced soon.
The government postponed the auction to Jan. 30 after scheduling it for Jan. 16.
“The revised time line for auction of 3G and BWA (broadband wireless access) spectrum will be notified shortly,” the Department of Telecom said on its website at http://dot.gov.in.
