Irish Tax Authority to Clamp Down on eBay Traders

The Irish tax authority is planning to clamp down on people who make money trading on eBay, the online auction site.
The Revenue will begin investigating ‘power sellers’, people who make at least part of their living from selling items through the website the area in the New Year.
It is thought to be more than 10,000 ‘power sellers’ work in Ireland. Their names will then be cross-checked against tax returns, to determine whether the money earned on eBay has been declared for taxation purposes.
