Ocean Tomo to Auction Messaging and Social Networking Patents on 26 June

Ocean Tomo Auctions today announced that it will offer for sale several Lots of patents relating to Messaging and Social Networking technologies at The Ocean Tomo 2008 European Live IP Auction on 26th June at The Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam.
Lots in the Messaging category disclose technologies such as a method for increasing the privacy of email messages; a method to interactively provide requested information concurrently and asynchronously at multiple sites; and a method for presenting an advertisement to a messaging device in an unobtrusive manner.
In the social networking category, Lot 33a discloses a method and apparatus for facilitating business and social networking by bringing social networking to mobile devices to arrange meetings between people with similar interests. Lot 33b discloses online systems and methods which enable members of an online network to manage their relationships within that network and to facilitate efficient and non-intrusive communication.
