Diamond Fetches Over $6million at Hong Kong Auction

A 101.27 carat colorless diamond, the largest of its kind ever sold at any auction in Asia, fetched 48.49 million HK dollars (6.22 million U.S. dollars) Wednesday at the spring auction of Christie’s in Hong Kong.

The price was in line with previous market estimates, which put the price between 47 million HK dollars (6.03 million U.S. dollars) and 60 million HK dollars (7.69 million U.S. dollars).
