Proxibid Solidifies Leadership Position in Live Internet Auction Marketplace

Published April 24th, 2008

OMAHA, Neb – Proxibid, the premier provider of live auction webcasting services, today confirmed that the Company is prepared to fill the void left by E-Bay Live’s exit from the live Internet auction marketplace. Proxibid’s proprietary, enterprise-class live Internet bidding platform, which currently serves more than 1,100 auction companies, has the capacity to handle the influx of customers who will be looking for a new provider when E-Bay Live ceases operations in the fourth quarter of this year. Proxibid has served the auction industry since 2002 and consistently offers more live auctions in more categories than any other provider. In March, Proxibid set several industry records, including hosting 51 auctions in a single day and 482 auctions in a single month.

Although there are several players in the live online auction marketplace, Proxibid’s key differentiators have enabled the Company to attract high quality auction companies. Added benefits such as superior customer service, technical support, personal account management and marketing assistance have enabled auctioneers to quickly and efficiently bring their auctions to a global, online audience. Additionally, for auction companies who choose to operate their own live online auctions, Proxibid’s training team provides software education and certification.

“Since 2004, we have conducted nearly all of our auctions live online with Proxibid. The Company has always made us feel like a partner, not a client, and consistently offers our organization customer service that goes above and beyond what other providers can offer,” said Kurt Aumann of Aumann Auctions Inc., one of the largest farm toy auctioneers in North America. “Even with vendors going out of business and new ones trying to break into the marketplace, Proxibid brings the most experience to the table. I wouldn’t trust my business with anyone else.”

Proxibid’s success in a variety of vertical markets from fine art, antiques and collectibles to farm and construction equipment, and everything in-between, demonstrates the Company’s flexibility in attracting auction companies with different needs. Since its founding, Proxibid has worked closely with industry leaders and auctioneers to custom tailor its service to meet the specialized requirements of its growing list of clients.

“E-Bay Live helped to bring live auction webcasting to the forefront of the industry and we’re surprised by their departure. While this is a shift in the industry, Proxibid has never been more excited about the opportunities in front of us,” said CEO Bruce Hoberman.
