Ocean Tomo Releases Catalogue for Its Second Live Intellectual Property Auction in Europe

CHICAGO - Ocean Tomo Auctions, LLC, the auctions arm of Ocean Tomo, LLC, the leading Intellectual Capital Merchant Banc® firm, today announced the immediate online availability of its European 2008 Live Intellectual Property Auction Catalogue. The Catalogue, which is accessible at www.OceanTomoAuctions.com, provides essential information regarding forty lots to be auctioned on 26th June at The NH Grand Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. (A supplemental catalogue will also be released in early May.)
Auction Background
This will be the firm’s second auction in Europe, held as a follow-up to its auction in London last year, where on-the-floor sales totaled £4,095,300 (approximately €6,040,977; $8,100,503) and a world-record was set for the highest selling price for a single patent at a multi-lot live IP auction for £2,475,000 (€3,650,873; $4,895,550).
Over the past two years since inception, Ocean Tomo has transacted approximately $70+ million at its IP auctions across Europe and the US, benefiting sellers, such as inventors, small to mid-sized companies, top multinational corporations, investors and others.

Catalogue Details
The Catalogue allows prospective bidders to review summaries of each lot, including patent number, title, issue date, assignees, potential licensees, forward citations, expected value, diagrams and abstract, along with the Auction’s terms and conditions, a forward citation index, schedule of events, and other materials of interest.
Included amongst the lots being offered for sale is the domain name £.com as well as patents relating to: Wireless electronic payment from a mobile device; Video compression technology; Controlling the power of fluorescent lighting technology; Universal adapter providing an interface between a cell phone and landline; Voice communication system for converting telephone numbers; Encryption process for increased email communication privacy; Medical records and communication system; Self-executing program in email messages; and Redirecting a communication session from data to voice.
