Mombasa Tea Auction Prices Fall for Third Week

African tea prices fell for a third straight week, dropping 0.9 percent at an auction in Mombasa, Kenya, as post-election violence that disrupted output abated.
The average price declined to $2.11 a kilogram (2.2 pounds) at the sale on March 3 and 4, compared with $2.13 last week, Mombasa-based Africa Tea Brokers Ltd., the founding broker at the auctions, said.
