Acker Merrall & Condit will hold its first Asian wine auction in Hong Kong to serve a growing interest in wine in the former British colony and on the mainland of China.
“More and more of our business is going to Asia,” said John Kapon, president of Acker Merrall & Condit, the oldest wine shop in the U.S. “I couldn’t believe no one had done a wine auction in several years, and I thought the timing was right.”
