Auction showcases original works by fine artists

Original art pieces donated by the artists and entertainment, travel, dining and sports packages will be offered Saturday at the smART Benefit and Auction for the Beverly Arts Center.
BAC Auxiliary members plan and present the auction, which is billed as the group’s biggest annual fundraiser to benefit the nonprofit regional fine arts center in Chicago.
Now in its 37th year, the event features a live auction of fine art, fine furniture and exclusive decorative items. www.southtownstar.com
