eBay to open analytical centre in Prague

Published February 12th, 2008

Internet company eBay, which runs the world’s largest online auction house eBay with 276 million users, wants to open a marketing and analytical centre in Prague and employ 20 experts there by the end of this year.

The company chose Prague because there is a large concentration of university-educated people with good knowledge of languages and global issues, eBay vice-president Wendy Jones told the daily.

eBay’s Prague team should provide support to the firm’s international marketing projects and to deals concluded in Europe and Asia. It should also cooperate with other countries in the region in the production of on-line campaigns, testing and monitoring.
