Estate agents and builders from across the North-East of England are working with a new property auction company which will help to sell their properties at auction.

Simon Van der Velde, one of the auction group directors, said: “Two years ago properties were selling within days of hitting the market, now they can lie on the market.

“We believe that auctions can sell property faster than traditional sales techniques. Auction sales are a big part of the property market’s future.”

The first auction, on Wednesday, March 5, at Newcastle’s Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel, will include a range of residential and commercial property.
