The Virginia C. Woodland Ferry has been listed for auction. Del-DOT has listed the vessel with Auction Liquidation Services, an online auction service.

Online bids can be made between February 1 through February 6.

Anyone wishing to submit a possible bid should inspect the vessel at the Woodland Ferry dock on January 29-31, 2008 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. The vessel is docked on the Seaford side of the Nanticoke River (off of Woodland Ferry and Woodland Church Road). Staff from the State of Delaware’s Surplus Services Section (under the Office of Management and Budget) and DelDOT personnel will be onsite during the inspection dates for anyone with questions.

Prospective bidders should note that the vessel must be removed from the site (by the buyer) no later than March 1, 2008.
