Phoenix Surplus Public Auction - Feb 9

Phoenix Surplus Public Auction at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the city’s auction yard, 2820 S. 22nd Ave. (south of Lower Buckeye Road).

Items include, 74 cars, six pickups, 12 vans, four fire trucks, seven garbage trucks, three SUVs, nine carts, an articulated loader, two trailers, air compressor, various lawn and garden equipment, scrap wire and metal, chairs, etc.

Gates open to the public at 7:30 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. The auction starts at 9 a.m. The cashier will remain open until 2:30 p.m. the day of the auction. Items to be sold may be inspected at the auction yard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, and Friday, Feb. 8.

At the Nov. 17 city of Phoenix Surplus Public Auction, the city generated $788,076, the highest revenue ever received at one of its quarterly public auctions. The highest previous public auction generated $553,519. The average for the past eight public auctions - over a two-year period - is $471,103 per auction.
