Karaka thoroughbred horse auction incentive
Published January 28th, 2008
Only two-year-old horses bought at this week’s Karaka sales in New Zealand can enter next year’s Karaka Million race. The inaugural event was held at Ellerslie on Sunday night.
New Zealand Bloodstock, which runs the auctions, is confident sales will be bouyant.
However, chairman Joe Walls says he does not think there will be any record breaking prices this year. More than 1500 horses will be offered for sale during the week-long event.
