Turzak Woodcut Prints for Auction – Jan 19

Leonard Auction will offer a collection of twenty-seven woodcut prints by Charles Turzak on January 19th at Auction in Addison, Illinois. The prints were originally purchased at the 1933 World’s Fair in Chicago and have remained in the same private collection since that time.
Turzak cut many woodblocks for the 1933 World’s Fair and his work was prominently featured at that event. Following his success at the World’s Fair, Turzak participated in several federal depression-era art programs that allowed him to develop several woodcuts into murals.
