HK govt to auction wireless spectrum licence

The government will auction in late October or early November the radio spectrum for mobile services based on the CDMA2000 standard, the Office of the Telecommunications Authority (OFTA) said.
The licence will have reserve price of 76 mln hkd, it said.
The auction will be the second in Hong Kong for assignment of radio spectrum since the auction of the radio spectrum for 3G mobile services in September 2001.
