Bahamas Police Auction Set For Friday

Gifts given to Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade will be sold to the highest bidder as police get set to hold an auction of the goods on Friday.
The items were given as gifts to Mr. Greenslade and his wife during an appreciation event in Grand Bahama on June 22. Mr. Greenslade was formerly the officer in charge of the northern Bahamas.
The auction is set to take place at the Police Training College in Oakes Field.
According to the auctioneer, I.G. Stubbs, the items will be displayed from 10am allowing bidders to inspect them and then the bidding process will begin at noon.
Items to be auctioned on Friday include a 2007 Blue four door Dodge Durango, two gold plated his and her cell phones and a gold plated ornamental eagle in flight.
Mr. Greenslade had previously told the Bahama Journal he was given a Dodge Durango jeep, a pair of his and her Rolex watches and two cellular telephones. It’s not clear when the watches will be auctioned.
