WGBH announced Thursday it has contracted Charitable Asset Conversion LLC to facilitate the liquidation and sale of surplus assets remaining at its Western Avenue production center.

The assets, not needed in the new Allston headquarters, include office furniture, radio and television studio production facilities, transmission equipment and associated antennas, radio mixing boards, and on-air and recording operational equipment.

CAC plans to sell the assets at auction on 10:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at 125 Western Ave. at 10:30 a.m.
