Auctioneers Star In TV Cook Show

Ledbury Reporter WORCESTERSHIRE auctioneer Adrian Mackwell left the stresses of running a busy auction house to face the heat in the kitchen when he took part in BBC’s popular daytime television series Ready Steady Cook, returning triumphant as he beat his colleague Jeremy Thornton.
Mr Mackwell was partnered with professional chef Alex Mackay - a newcomer on the programme who trained at Raymond Blanc’s Aux Quat Saisons and now has his own cookery school near St Tropez, France.
