Worlds Fair train for sale on eBay
Published January 4th, 2007
It’s been 25 years since the World’s Fair was held in Knoxville. Now, former Illinois Congressman Kenneth Gray has put the 1982 Energy Express up for sale on eBay.
The train has a total of five cars. Each car depicts a different mode of energy.
More than 2,000 lights, multiple computers and 12.5 KW generators help the train run.
Gray says it cost about $500,000 to build the train so he’s offering it for $300,000 less. It’s being sold through a furniture store called Swains.
