Online Auction Sellers Save by Using Free Sites

Published December 26th, 2006

Increasingly-savvy sellers are turning to alternative sites and saving money on auction fees.

When using eBay, a seller must pay a listing fee to get an item posted. A final value fee of up to 5.25% is also charged if an item sells. EBay listing fees depend upon the starting price of the item being sold. For example, the listing fee for an item with a starting bid of $25.00 will incur a $1.20 listing fee plus any optional listing enhancement fees.
