Princess Anne added regal glamour to a festive-themed charity auction this week. The Queen’s daughter was guest of honour at the annual gala dinner for the Festival of Trees at London’s Natural History museum - one of the highlights of the winter social calendar.

Leading designers and fashion stalwarts including Jimmy Choo and Harrods were some of the big names to design bespoke Christmas trees for the auction in aid of Save The Children. The spectacular creations come adorned with luxury gifts.

Princess Anne, who is president of the charity, joined British celebrities including a sparkling Davina McCall - accompanied by husband Matthew - designers Amanda Wakeley and Alice Temperley, athlete Denise Lewis and TV presenter Philip Schofield for the occasion, which raised £426,000.
