An attorney for Nicole Brown Simpson’s family has accused eBay Inc. of not doing enough to get rid of auctions for O.J. Simpson’s hypothetical story of how he would have managed her killing.

Associated Press said Friday that San Jose-based eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) has reportedly been removing offers to sell copies of “If I Did It,” which in one case attracted bids as high as $1 million.

However, the Brown family’s attorney says the site’s deadline-style auctions mean some transactions could be completed before all the auctions are pulled.

The book, which was scheduled for release Nov. 20 after Simpson did an interview on Fox television, but the publisher canceled the project after public outcry and said all copies of the book would be destroyed.
