Ansel Adams photograph makes $609,600

A London photography dealer paid $609,600 for a rare print of Ansel Adams’ “Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico” at a Sotheby’s auction in New York City on Tuesday. The previous record for a “Moonrise” print, set in 2002, was $136,000, and the previous auction record for any Adams work was $352,000, set earlier this year with a series called “Surf Sequence, San Mateo Coast, California
