ALROSA Sells $29M at Moscow Rough Diamond Auction

Russia’s Yakutia-based diamond firm, ALROSA, sold approximately $29 million rough diamonds at the 16th International Diamond Auction for special-sized diamonds hosted the Diamond Chamber in Moscow, reported Interfax on August 7.
The chamber said that out of 152 parcels offered, 144 were sold. The parcels contained 1,286 diamonds weighing approximately 21,699 carats. The largest diamond offered weighed 100.63 carats, while 17 diamonds were larger than 50 carats.
