Wine connoisseurs are expected to flock to Paris for the auction of thousands of bottles of vintage wine from the town hall’s cellar.
The collection, amassed by President Jacques Chirac while he was mayor of Paris, is expected to raise more than $600,000, the Telegraph reported Monday.
Among the 5,000 bottles going under the hammer in the fall are several bottles of 1990 Château Pétrus, worth more than $1800 each, and 191 bottles of 1976 Krug champagne.
