Published April 23rd, 2006

EBay, the world’s largest auctioneer, lost 9.1% to $35.09. EBay’s 2006 sales prediction of $5.9bn trailed the average analysts’ estimate of $5.96bn. Profit may be crimped by extra spending on steps to enhance online security.
