Central Livestock Corp. will be up for auction April 8, after a federal investigation into its finances closed the sale barn nearly two months ago.
The Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration, a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, continues its investigation, after ranchers complained of a series of bad checks written by owner Mac Frederick.
On the auction block will be the 16-acre lot and auction house, veterinary barn, restaurant, pens and other equipment. A tractor and trucks also are on the bill of sale.
