A collection of rare natural history books will go under the hammer this week in Nottingham to raise funds for a local wildlife charity.

The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust hopes to raise at least £1,000 when it puts the books up for auction on Thursday, March 23.

The books, many containing colour prints, were donated to the charity as part of the legacy of Tim Bowles, a dedicated Trust supporter.

The Wildlife Trust’s membership manager, Emma Thompson, said: “We are very fortunate in Nottinghamshire to be surrounded by a large range of habitats which support many species.
