Cattle Genetics Auction
Published January 12th, 2006
Cattle-Wise today announced the availability of its fully automated on-line auction service targeting the beef cattle industry. The formal introduction of the Cattle-Wise Auction, known as the Mile-High Classic, will be the largest automated on-line auction of elite genetics in the cattle industry to date. The auction will occur on January 19th, 2006 at 12:00 pm MST, and is timed to coincide with the National Western Stock Show in Denver. Bidders from all over the United States and the world will be participating in a live on-line auction that will include bulls, females, semen, embryos, and flushes.
“This type of service will take the beef cattle industry into a much more efficient and cost-effective business model,” said Bob Mullendore, CEO of Cattle-Wise, “and since we’re operating as an ASP, the technology is available to all existing cattle auction houses and sales barns, as well as to the individual rancher.”
