Online auction of Indian art fetches $11 mn

An online auction of 200 Indian works of art by a New York-based gallery, including those of eminent painters F.N. Souza and M.F. Husain, notched up close to $11 million in final successful bids.
According to the figures put out on the Saffron Art gallery’s website (www.saffronart.com) all works were sold well beyond their asking prices.
