AuctionAnything.com announced today that it has reached the decade milestone for its online auction service business. Established in November of 1995, AuctionAnything.com has ridden the wave of the dot com boom -and bust- and come out as a leader in the online auction software category.

“Our goal from the beginning was to build a company that would stand the test of time by providing a high quality product at a reasonable price while delivering the ultimate in customer service,” stated John Hotaling, President of AuctionAnything.com. As a testament to the staying power of the AuctionAnything.com team and product line, the company boasts continued service to many of its original clients.

“Over the years, we have seen the industry expand from predominantly entrepreneurs to most recently becoming a mainstream medium for broadcast outlets, large and small corporate applications and charitable organizations.” Mr. Hotaling continued, “during the past decade, we have taken tremendous pride in our ability to keep our product flexible while continuing to offer a great value for our customers.”

AuctionAnything.com’s current product can trace its roots back to the early days of the internet with the first version of the product operating on the bulletin boards. Over 10 years, AuctionAnything.com has led the way with numerous product innovations including creation of an extended bidding rule in 1997, early integration of wireless bidding notifications in 1999 and implementation of a predecessor to today’s content management systems in 2001.

Many bidders have been using the AuctionAnything.com auction system without even being aware of it. “Our goal is to make a product that is so user-friendly, that the user doesn’t even notice he/she is using it. If bidders don’t notice the software, we know that our product is allowing them to focus on the items up for auction and not on how to operate our system,” added Mr. Hotaling.

When asked about comments he occasionally receives during trade events about why his company is just now joining the auction software foray, Mr. Hotaling replied, “As a provider of private labeled auction solutions, we have successfully operated under the radar for many years working to fulfill the needs of our clients and client referrals. We might not be a household name, but our clients can attest to the quality of our product and commitment to customer service. This has enabled us to build a solid foundation with limited fanfare.”

What does the next decade hold for AuctionAnything.com? “We are undergoing some major infrastructure and application enhancements over the next few months in accordance with a growth initiative that started in mid-2005 and will continue over the next few years. We have some exciting new features and delivery methods coming soon. Celebrating 10 years in business has made us take a look at where we are and identify the goals we must achieve to further strengthen our position in the online auction service market.”
