XBox 360 profiteering continues on eBay

Published November 26th, 2005

On auction site Ebayit’s clear that pandemonium is breaking out on Xbox 360 prices, tipped to be this year’s big Christmas gift. While some of these auctions are fraudulent (one auction started at $100,000) others are completely genuine and going for average prices exceeding twice the console’s retail value.

Auctions this morning revealed a large majority of console prices exceeding 700 quid, with a few auctions over 1000 quid. Equally as impressive as the prices are the sheer number of consoles for sale on auction sites. There are currently thousands of Xbox 360 auctions online, many not selling due to high reserves or starting prices.
