eBay conman faces jail sentence

A teenager who conned eBay users out of more than £8,000 while on bail for committing similar offences was warned today that he faces prison.

Phillip Shortman, 18, of The Twinnings, Cwmbran, appeared in Newport Crown Court after pleading guilty in October to four counts of obtaining property by deception at Abergavenny Magistrate’ Court.
